Hello!! I am so happy that you want to learn a little more about who I am and my journey.
Although there is a lot to tell and share, I hope you will enjoy reading a very summarized version of myself below.
Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for the outdoors, animals, people, and a deep curiosity for why things are the way they are. I have never been entertained by what is surface level, but always strive to dig deep into the heart, beauty, and intrinsic purpose of not only my own why, but that of others as well.
While completing my Masters thesis on Methods to Enhance the Public’s Understanding of Conservation Science, I used the Theory of Change Behavior Metrics to identify new ways of strategically creating change. These simple metrics, when multiplied upon, I believe can assist any individual’s or nonprofits goals in effective outreach. It is my plan to use them with each new and exciting WSYC project that I take on.
Additionally, I am a super energetic and driven person who is in a constant state of learning. My faith, family, friends, and belief in seizing every opportunity have allowed me unique opportunities to travel the world, interact with cultures of different kinds, hang out with amazing animals, and identify new ways to help this world become a happier and more educated place.
I truly believe that we are all equipped to do wonderful works from the inside out. And that if we can learn to identify what our strengths are – we can begin to live in a more consistent place of fulfillment, opportunity, and impact.
However, I have a special place in my heart for animal/conservation nonprofits and small businesses; having worked with many over the years and seen firsthand the passion, work ethic, and organization it takes to run each. I also grew up watching my dad successfully manage his own business through highs and lows- which has further engrained in me an appreciation for the time and sacrifice it takes to do so.
Ultimately, I have found that my greatest joy comes from helping to support individuals who are using their own strengths and time to make a positive impact on this world. I love helping others to believe in themselves and the power that they were born with.
I thrive in creativity, am motivated by passion, and can’t wait to wake up each morning knowing it is another day to make a difference. So, although I may not have all the answers – I do know that with focus, understanding, and applied effort – anything is possible. And everything is waiting.
Let’s get started making something wonderful.
