I love to think of how excited God must have been when creating each species, each molecule of our atmosphere, each element of star dust that would beautifully coalesce to create a habitable planet for his creation.

“Fire tests silver. Heat tests gold. But people are tested by the praise they receive.” - Proverbs 27:21
How many of us carry around unresolved hurt, failures we hate to remember, times we have messed up or maybe missed opportunities? How many of us try to block out these dark thoughts, experiences, or negative self-beliefs because of how much they drain us to consider? How many of us try to keep moving forward hoping one day theses ideas or memories will simply disappear - or that we at least won’t be brought back to the feelings of guilt or inferiority when we are reminded of them? How many of us react to current situations under the control of past pains, letting insecurity, fear, and “what ifs” call all the shots? Maybe even believing the lie that because you messed up once, you will never again be as worthy, as capable, or have as great of an opportunity as you once did? As if we only get one chance at what “could have been” our greatest joys in life... How many of us live in this heavy fog day to day, whether we acknowledge it or not? Because I know I have and so have many others. Moses, for example, was left by his mom, grew up under the guise of someone who he wasn’t, became a murderer at a young age, ran away, and was insecure about his life events and as a result, his own abilities. Even after God spoke directly to him, Moses still struggled with accepting who he was and the opportunity to save a nation that God had designed him for. And yet, Jesus never gave up on him. He never told him he wasn’t enough - and he used everything Moses already was and had to accomplish great miracles. Moses reminds us that often - we are the only ones who are getting in our own way, not some punishment by God as if he has given up on us. If this was the case, he wouldn’t have sent his Son to die on the cross for us. Jesus can and wants to take our insecurities and failures and use them to show us freedom in our true identities. So whatever chains have been convincing you that it’s better to stay in the dark than to risk bringing on more - are lies. You are wonderfully made and Jesus wants to take who you are, all your past, and what you have right now and use it as the recipe for your freedom. Just ask him, with a little faith - to help you do so.
Everyone needs to watch this eye opening film. As hard as the truth is to see - it’s within our responsibility to do so. Pretending that we aren’t able to play a role in both the problem and the solution is ignorant and unjust. @seaspiracy @pauldegelder @richardobarry @iamalitabrizi
